Small Business Opportunities Magazine: This is a magazine that played a big role in spawning webbizideas.com. I would really like to tell customers this and give credit to the magazine. I used to read this magazine religiously & rip out almost every advertisement I found interesting so I can research it later.
I tried many of the ‘opportunities’ from the companies that advertised in the magazine for a long time, they all had parts that were good, but there was no company I could call up, say I want to start a business, and they could give me a business that I knew would be profitable. So it became my goal to find out how I can start my own internet business, this magazine really helped me achieve that.
After researching & spending money trying different opportunities I thought the one thing missing to all these ‘opportunities’ is a person’s own idea for a business. I always wanted to start my own business, I always wanted to find a successful business to run, but I just didn’t know what to start. I was always looking for this PERFECT OPPORTUNITY and could not find it.
Long story short, I never found it, I thought the reason was none of these companies actually helped me start a business; they just tried to sell me on their stupid opportunity or tried to convince me to sell their service to others. So it became my new goal to figure out how to start my own business & then help people start their own business.
I told my self that one day I will advertise in SBO magazine and actually offer people a solution. It started off with me just being pissed because there was no perfect business opportunity to start, and I ended up finding what was missing in all of those companies, the ability to help people start THEIR OWN IDEA. The best business you can start is your own idea; you just need a company to help you do it.
That is what we try to provide customers; it means the world to us when we hear readers of SBO magazine say: I can’t believe I came across your company; this is exactly what I am looking for. I talked to a customer today that said, “I have read SBO magazine religiously for two years, I don’t have the money to start now, but I am saving up because I know you ‘cats’ are the company that I know can actually help me start my own business.” If I was a crier, I would have cried.
It was my goal from the start to find a business to advertise in SBO magazine that actually helped people start their own idea and we feel we have accomplished that and will always continue to do that. As our company grows we learn more on what it takes to start an internet business and we pass all of our knowledge & resources along to our customers.
